Reportage
Edinburgh, made for living
Not loving Edinburgh at first sight means not grasping its essence, colors and flavors. It is a decidedly human-sized capital, which struck me for the total absence of those chaotic rhythms that characterize the metropolitan heartbeat of large cities such as London, Paris, Rome or Madrid. Three days are enough to visit all the tourist attractions it offers, it would take much longer to appreciate all its facets and vital impulses; if you have little time available, do not worry, you will still be able to enjoy what the city has to offer. The period of my stay was the pre-Christmas period, in which, in my opinion, the city offers unique emotions, thanks to its magical atmosphere, typically UK. From a photographic point of view I have chosen to travel light, indeed very light, using an exclusively “street” approach and less postcard, as I am now used to doing. The splendid colors that Edinburgh offers at sunset, countless photographic opportunities in the alleys of the Royal Mile. Here I propose a series of shots taken with Leica M262 coupled 35 summarit 2.4 ASPH, which gave me shots with vibrant colors and with a decidedly little digital stamp, very close to the film. See you next time!
